The McNugget PDF Print E-mail

Hello all,

I would like to address an issue close to my heart -- the McDonald's dark meat chicken nugget. They did away with these mouth watering, tender, and juicy nuggets in place of all white meat nuggets. In comparison, the white nuggets absolutely suck. I used to give my white meat nuggets away or even throw them away. Please, if you love the dark meat McNugget as I did, visit the online petition: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/dkmtckmc/.

On a side note, McDonald's has a Superbowl special on their nuggets - 50 for $8.99 (I believe). Take advantage of it, but I'm sure you'll get sick of the bland white meat McNugget.

They were real McButtholes for taking away the dark meat McNugget, eliminating diversity in the McNugget selection. APAC promotes diversity. I do not speak for the board but because APAC stands for diversity, I stand for the dark McNugget.

On behalf of the APAC executive board, I'd like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.  I can't wait for the new year and I hope everyone is excited as I am to start the year fresh.  Also, if you have never had a "turducken," I highly suggest you do whatever it takes to try it.

This is an introductory level course on Asian Pacific American (APA) Studies, and will address both historical and contemporary issues of significance to the broad range of APA communities.

Until this becomes a regular course, it has to be listed as a special topics, which is why it is a 300-level, but in terms of the material, it is an INTRO level course!

Topics include immigration, racism, gender/sexuality, activism, media representations, identity (“who is Asian Pacific American??”), relations with other racial and ethnic “minorities” and more! If you are interested but don’t have the necessary prerequisites, please contact me and I can add you.

And feel free to send me ideas, articles, videos, websites, etc. that you think could be included in the class.

Even if you are unable to take the course, please help publicize it!

News Feeds PDF Print E-mail

Monday, 03 December 2007 03:18

Hello everybody,

I have created a new menu item. If you take a look, you'll find that the CNN and Yahoo Asia news are removed as menu items and are now joined into the News Feeds section. Please navigate there to take a look at the feeds. I have a feeling there will be a good amount of news feeds to add throughout the future, so please stay tuned and look out for more interesting feeds. Take a look at the Yellow Buzz feed, it focuses on Asian American music and should be an interesting read for most of you.

New Poll! PDF Print E-mail

Friday, 16 November 2007 01:42

Hey everyone,

I have put up a poll on the "Home" page, upper right corner, so I can get some kind of feedback on the site. Please rate how tyou think the site is to you, five stars being highest, one star being the lowest (not sure if the martial artist rankings were clear enough for some of you). Also, just to be sure, skin color has nothing to do with ranking. I promise. For example, if we were basing it on roundhouse kicks, Chuck Norris would obviously be given the five star ranking. Steven Segal...well, Steven Segal...um. Steven Segal. If we were ranking on pony tail martial artists, he would clearly be given the five star rating. I rest my case.

Gimme more like Britney (in this case, votes at the poll),
